I'll take the wheel: Cheryl Cole hops into the driver's seat as she gives her new boyfriend Tre Holloway a lift home

After she was involved in a car accident with chatterbox manager Will.i.am, Cheryl Cole emerged the next day with her arm in a sling.

Clearly not taking any chances, last night (Wednesday) the plucky singer took charge of the wheel as she picked up her beau Tre Holloway after he enjoyed a night out to Mahiki.

Cheryl looked fresh-faced and ready for bed as Tre hopped in the car.

Tre wore a fitted cap with a sleeveless hooded denim jacket and a white T-shirt and looked grateful for the ride as he hopped in next to the chart-topping singer.

As he made his way towards the vehicle he was seen smiling and laughing with the photographers as he hurried along carrying two bags.

The Promise This singer appeared to be wearing a boob tube style top as she pulled her hair up in a messy bun.

As she pulled out of her parked position, Cheryl looked to be in deep concentration, making sure not to repeat Will.i.am's mistakes.

On Tuesday evening it looked like Cheryl was feeling 100 per cent again as she enjoyed a romantic date night with Holloway.

Free from her sling, the 29-year-old held hands with her dancer boyfriend, 27, as they left Japanese restaurant Sumosan in Mayfair.

The Girls Aloud star looked chic in a black leather pencil skirt, pink and black panelled top and high-heels as she dined out at the eatery.

After a busy week for the singer, who returned back from Los Angeles following her car accident with the Black Eyed Peas rapper, it seems the sit down meal was just what she needed.

As she promoted her new single Under The Sun wearing her left arm in a sling, she joked Will wasn't concentrating on his driving as he was too busy chatting away to her.

The Voice judge drove into a parked car while they were out for a takeaway at McDonald's.

Cheryl told Capital FM's Dave Berry that she actually only had to wear the sling for three days.

She explained: 'You know what, I think it's actually hurting more to have it in the sling than it does when it's not in there. I was just told to wear it for three days. I'm following doctor's orders.'

Tuesday night was the first time Cheryl has been photographed with Tre for over two weeks.

Although the couple are thought to have started dating in March this year - Heat magazine recently claimed Cheryl started seeing Tre in March 2011 - five months after they danced together during her performance of Promise This on The X Factor.

Last year, Tre updated his Facebook page to say 'in a relationship', but then hid his relationship status after friends started questioning who his mystery girlfriend was.

The publication also alleged that the pair have been enjoying incognito dates in Los Angeles - where Tre is based - and London as often as possible.
