She has posed nude for Playboy so is no stranger to shedding her clothes and showing off her figure.

But it appears Lindsay Lohan may have taken some tips from her new BFF Lady Gaga when it comes to how to wow with the fewest amount of clothes.

The 26-year-old actress showed off her curves in an incredibly daring white swimsuit as she enjoyed a dip at her hotel in Hollywood over the weekend.

The one-piece featured a plunging white front which drew attention to Lindsay's ample cleavage as she strolled along poolside.

As she made her way to the pool after a cooling dip, Lindsay covered up somewhat in a white dressing gown and red pumps.

The swimsuit is something of a departure from Lindsay's usual style, with the actress usually favouring bikinis to show off her figure to its full potential.

But perhaps Lindsay is attempting to give herself a bit of makeover, amid reports she is set to star in the next video from eccentric pop star Gaga.

The pair first hit the headlines with their friendship when they enjoyed a night out together at Chateau Marmont.

And now Gaga is said to be keen to sign Lindsay up for the video for one of her new tracks.

A source told the New York Post: 'Lady Gaga and Lindsay caused a stir last month when they had their "sleepover" at the Chateau. And now it turns out that Lindsay will be starring in Gaga's new video from her upcoming album ARTPOP.'

It is unknown as yet what video Lindsay will make an appearance in.

Yesterday, Lindsay dressed down in a shredded T-shirt and denim shorts as she hit the shops in Venice, California with a male companion.

With her phone and a bottle of Sprite in hand, the actress was seen looking around the boutique as unsurprisingly a few gems caught her eye.

And she certainly looked in need of some new threads.. as her own looked very worn and distressed.

But possibly feeling the cold, she wore a nude coloured polo neck under the tee and a pair of sunglasses as she browsed around the store.

Light-fingered Lindsay has got herself in a spot of bother previously after her failure to pay for some jewellery. But it seems she's put her gem appreciating ways behind her.
