These days it doesn’t matter whether a couple has been together three weeks or three years because if the love is gone, divorce will always follow. Even power couple Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman isn’t immune because they are separating even after 30 years of marriage! That’s right their three decades of togetherness aren’t enough to make them stay together ‘til death do them part.
Their rep Stan Rosenfield confirmed the couple’s intentions on Entertainment Tonight on Monday. However, the reason for their divorce was not made clear. But we can only guess that perhaps the love has gone. What other heavy reason could there be?
Danny and Rhea met and fell in love while doing a Broadway show back in the 1970’s. A few weeks after meeting, the two moved in together and tied the knot in 1982. They were blessed with three children Lucy, 29, Grace, 27, and Jacob, 25.
I feel really for them that even 30 years of companionship and love isn’t enough to make them stay together. Danny and Rhea is just another example that marriage doesn’t last forever these days.
